Washing The Willow Tree Loon This program begins, as all the programs do, with the song, "A Big Beautiful Planet in the Sky." The gentle song lyrics help children understand that the earth is home to many forms of life. We’ll learn about loons, then read Washing the Willow Tree Loon, a book about caring people gently rescuing and cleaning a loon caught in an oil slick. The Great Kapok TreeThe Great Kapok Tree In this program we learn about the rain forest and the inhabitants of it's many levels and layers. We'll sing Jim Scott's “Rainforest Song” and we'll dance with colored scarves. Color is an important way to understand the rain forest. We'll read The Great Kapok Tree, then children become animals and reenact the story.
